Help on hand for Stress Awareness Month

1 April 2025

‘Lead with Love’ is the theme of this year’s National Stress Awareness Month.

To mark the awareness month, which is held each April, Police Mutual has published a factsheet offering advice on how to manage stress, including breathing exercises, keeping a daily routine, talking to other people and keeping active.

It also gives links to organisations that can help, including the NHS, the mental health charity Mind, Anxiety UK and the Stress Management Society, which organises Stress Awareness Month to:

  • Educate the public about the causes and effects of stress
  • Promote effective stress management techniques to enhance mental health and wellbeing
  • Encourage open conversations to reduce the stigma surrounding stress and mental health issues
  • Provide resources and support to help individuals and organisations manage stress effectively.

Factsheet

The Stress Awareness Month factsheet is one of six launched by Police Mutual this month. The others are:

World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April

World Health Day – 7 April
