Federation roadshow heads for Birmingham LPA

Federation members based at Birmingham LPA are being urged to attend a West Midlands Police Federation roadshow being held at Bournville Lane Police Station on Wednesday.

Federation officials, workplace representatives and member service providers will be available to talk to members and answer any queries they might have from 10am until 2pm.

Jess Davies, West Midlands Police Federation chair, explains: “We are holding a series of roadshows across the Force area over the coming months to give members a chance to find out more about our work.

“The first roadshow was held at Perry Barr two weeks ago when we were able to meet members, discuss any concerns they may have and outline the support we can offer.

“We hope that as many members as possible will come to see us on Wednesday.”

In addition to Federation reps, the roadshows will be attended by representatives of Gallaghers, which provides the Group Insurance Scheme, Serve and Protect credit union, the Bluline health scheme, the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund and the Force Sports and Social Club. The Oscar Kilo wellbeing dog will also be in attendance.

After the roadshow, Jess and Federation deputy chair Mat Minton will be putting on their uniforms and going out with a car on response so that they can get a full understanding of what members are facing on the frontline. They will do this after all the roadshows in the current programme too.

The last roadshow of the year will be held in the Vanessa Carroll Suite at Solihull Police Station on 18 December, again between 10am and 2pm.

The 2026 dates set so far are:

14 January – Sandwell LPA – West Bromwich Police Station.

26 March – Coventry LPA – Willenhall Police Station.

22 April – Walsall LPA – Bloxwich Police Station.
