Christmas greetings

On behalf of West Midlands Police Federation, I would like to wish everyone who works and volunteers with the Force a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Already many people have started their festive break from work but, of course, we provide a policing service for our communities, 24/7 every single day of the year.

While many officers, staff and volunteers will now be looking forward to their own Christmas holiday, many will still be turning up for duty and continuing to work, serving and protecting the public throughout Christmas and New Year.

We appreciate the sacrifices you make to ensure our services are maintained, missing out on family time to look after those we serve. The Federation wants to put on record its thanks for your commitment to the Force and the communities of the West Midlands.

But nevertheless, I hope that even those of you who are working over the Christmas and New Year period still manage to enjoy some down time with your family and friends between your shifts.
