Remembering Vanessa Carroll

West Midlands Police Federation today remembers Inspector Vanessa Carroll.

Vanessa, 35, died in a road accident while she was working with the British police contingent in Bosnia on 28 April 1996.

She had served West Midlands Police for 16 years and had been promoted to inspector in 1995. 

An accomplished sportswoman, Vanessa was captain of the Force netball team. She was also Force basketball player and a keen cross-country runner.
