Federation poll: have you received the email?

11 June 2024

Members are being urged to check their emails for the link to the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) poll on seeking a return to collective bargaining on police pay.

The email will have been sent to your preferred email address. This might be your Force email but could also be a personal email address you have provided.

The email is titled ‘PFEW Industrial Rights Poll’ and is sent from elections@mi-voice.com - an independent and secure balloting provider.

Many members have found the email in their spam/junk folders, so please ensure you check there.

Members have been encouraged to take part in the poll which seeks to find out if they would like the Federation to pursue the re-establishment of a mechanism of collective bargaining and the addition of binding arbitration. This will enable direct negotiation with the Government when it comes to determining police pay.

The poll was launched on Monday 3 June and closes at 21.59 on Friday 21 June.

So, all members who have not seen the email are being advised to check their work and personal email accounts including junk/spam folders as soon as possible.

West Midlands Police Federation branch chair Rich Cooke is calling on all members to register their views: “As a membership-led organisation, it is vital that we give members a voice. This poll does exactly that - it gives our members an opportunity to send a clear message about their dissatisfaction with the current system. That is why it is fundamental that every single one of our members registers their view.”

If, after checking your work and personal email accounts including your spam/junk folders, you find you have not received the link to the poll then please email westmidlandspf@polfed.org. They will confirm which email address the link was sent to and, if it still cannot be found, will contact Mi-Voice for a new link to be sent out to you.

Please do not share your link as they are all unique and will not allow multiple votes using the same link.
