Advice for mental wellbeing

Today is Samaritans Awareness Day, an event held each year with Samaritans branches in the UK and Republic of Ireland holding local events to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
The Samaritans listen to anyone who’s struggling to cope, at any time of the day or night.
Research shows that emergency services workers are twice as likely as the public to identify problems at work as the main cause of their mental health problems, but they are also significantly less likely to seek help.
As a result, Police Mutual has produced a factsheet offering tips to promote mental wellbeing. More details about the Samaritans and the awareness day can be found in the factsheet.
