A message from our conduct leads

We don’t want to send out the usual Christmas message but as we approach a very busy time of year, we just wanted to say a couple of things, write West Midlands Police Federation conduct and performance leads Dave Hadley and Dawn Murkett.

Firstly, we know that things don’t always go as we expect them to, whether that be on or off-duty. But please remember that if you find yourself the subject of any kind of allegations, specially trained Fed reps with access to legal advice are on hand to assist you, when you need it most.

Should you need urgent assistance, for example, if you find yourself subject to a post-incident procedure or if you have been arrested, West Midlands Police Federation operates an out-of-hours service for you.

The phone number is available via the control room or custody inspectors. We sincerely hope you never have to make use of it.

Secondly, on a more cheerful note, we wish you a merry Christmas and hope you are able to spend at least some time with your loved ones.
