Still time to have your say on police wellbeing provision

27 June 2023

The deadline is approaching for members to take part in the latest survey to help shape wellbeing provision and support for police.

Launched by Oscar Kilo, the National Police Wellbeing Service in May, and run by the Policing Research Unit at Durham University and the College of Policing, it ends in early July – so not long now.

Jason Dooley, Deputy Chair of West Midlands Police Federation urged members to take a few minutes to provide their feedback.

He explained: “We know that officer wellbeing is as important to a healthy police force as having the right kit or the right manpower. If colleagues are struggling and feeling the pressure, it is critical that the right help is available. That’s where your views are so key as the service can then evolve and improve.”

Jason also thanked officers who have already responded.

Andy Rhodes, service director for the National Police Wellbeing Service, aims to build on strong response rates of previous years. He added: “It is vital that we hear from as many people working in policing as possible so we can design and develop the right interventions and support.”

The survey can be accessed via the Force intranet.
