Sam Hughes - full funeral details

The funeral service for West Midlands Police Federation deputy chair Sam Hughes will be held on Friday 14 April at St Chad’s Church on Oak Street, Coseley at 1.30pm.

This will be followed by a service at Gornal Crematorium at 2.50pm followed by the wake at Parkes Hall Social Club on Parkes Hall Road in Dudley.

All colleagues are welcome to attend the church, crematorium and wake. Where possible, you are asked to wear uniform.

Sam’s family has asked that anyone bringing flowers should then take a bouquet from someone else home after the service to enjoy them and remember Sam.

This was a wish from Sam herself. On the day, there will also be a collection for Mary Stevens Hospice, Stourbridge if colleagues would prefer to make a donation in Sam’s memory.

Anyone who met Sam will know she was an amazing, inspirational and genuine lady, always thinking of everyone else. She will be sorely missed and our thoughts are with her husband, Shaun, her two children, wider family, friends and colleagues.
