PC Le Comte was just 21-years-old when he died after falling from a roof while searching for suspects on the night of 4 February 1984.

An award named in his honour, the Andrew Le Comte Memorial Cup for Inspirational Leadership, is presented each year to a West Midlands Police officer who has inspired others with a passion for policing, allowing them to achieve and reach their potential while offering outstanding leadership skills.
