Police Mutual factsheets available now

A new online booklet to help West Midlands Police Federation make the most of the summer is now available.

Police Mutual, which offers financial services for serving or retired police officers, staff and their families, has produced its Getting Ready for Summer factsheet which aims to offer tips on having a great summer without breaking the bank.

It includes advice on travelling abroad including travel insurance, using mobile phones, and things to consider when spending cash or using a debit or credit card.

The factsheet also includes ideas for free and cheap days out during the school holidays, and tips for staying healthy during the summer.

Police Mutual has also produced a factsheet for Samaritans Awareness Day, which takes place on 24 July.

The guide offers advice for emergency services workers to look after their mental health.

There are tips for supporting other people with their emotional and mental wellbeing, information on how to talk about money worries, and signposts to additional support.

International Friendship Day, which aims to appreciate and celebrate friendships from all backgrounds, takes place on 30 July.

Police Mutual has put together an online booklet to mark the day and shine a light on the benefits of friendships.
