Police Federation remembers Vanessa Carroll

West Midlands Police Federation has remembered Inspector Vanessa Carroll on the 27th anniversary of her death. 

Vanessa was killed in a road traffic accident on 28 April 1996 while she was working with the British police contingent in Bosnia. She was 35.

She had served with West Midlands Police for 16 years and had been promoted to inspector in 1995. 

An accomplished sportswoman, Vanessa was captain of the Force netball team, a Force basketball player and also a keen cross country runner.
