Latest magazine now published

The latest edition of West Midlands Police Federation members’ magazine is out now and available to read online.

This issue focuses on the findings of the latest pay and morale survey, the impact of recent law changes on police drivers, the ongoing scourge of knife crime and gang violence in our cities and the Chief Constable’s proposals to speed up the criminal justice process by letting sergeants charge suspects.

The magazine features updates on the campaign to get every front line officer Taser-trained and the ongoing battle to get approval for an Elizabeth Medal for colleagues killed while on duty.

There are also interviews with the Force’s new multi-faith lead Khadija Sulaiman, national roads policing lead Brian Booth and student officer Gemma Lee who has received a national award for her work on a project designed to link together groups and organisations within the community.
