Coventry PC remembered

West Midlands Police Federation today pays tribute to Coventry PC Gavin Carlton who died on this day in 1988.

Gavin (29) was pursuing two armed robbers who shot him at point blank range when he crashed his car.

He was posthumously awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct.
