Anniversary of loss of West Midlands officer

Family, friends and former colleagues of a fallen West Midlands Police officer were marking the 31st anniversary of his death today.

PC Mark Woodhead collapsed and died aged 32 while working at Fletchampstead Highway Police Station in Coventry on 26 January 1992.

Mark was a talented rugby player who played for local team Barkers Butts before becoming the youngest player to post 50 first-team appearances for Coventry RFC.
