Tributes have been paid to PC Jonathan Wade on the 15th anniversary of his death.
Jonathan, a self-defence instructor who joined the Force in 1998, collapsed and died of heart failure on 12 March 2007, aged 39.
He was de-briefing a self-defence exercise while instructing an officer safety course at the Police Training Centre, Birmingham.
West Midlands Police Federation chair Rich Cooke said: “Jonathan was an outstanding officer who was committed and dedicated to his work.
“Jonathan was part of the West Midlands Policing family for almost 20 years and his loss was deeply felt by everyone who knew him. The thoughts of everyone at West Midlands Police Federation are with Jonathan’s family and friends.”
