West Midlands Police Federation chair Rich Cooke has paid tribute to PC Deborah Harman-Burton on the anniversary of her death.
Deborah died in a road accident on the A452 Birmingham Road between Balsall Common and Kenilworth on 24 March 2006 as she travelled home from night duty. She was 28.
Rich said: “Deborah was a popular and dedicated officer who served West Midlands Police and the public with distinction.
“That dedication was recognised with chief superintendents’ commendations for bravery and reducing crime against Coventry’s students.
“On the anniversary of her death, we remember the outstanding contribution she made to policing. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and former colleagues,” he added.
