Remembering Inspector Vanessa Carroll

West Midlands Police Federation has recognised Inspector Vanessa Carroll on the anniversary of her death.

Vanessa was killed in a road traffic accident on 28 April 1996 while she was working with the British police contingent in Bosnia. She was 35.

She served West Midlands Police for 16 years and had been promoted to inspector in 1995. Vanessa was also captain of the Force netball team, a Force basketball player and a cross country runner.
