Tributes have been paid to former West Midlands Police Federation workplace representative PC Mick Chapman on the eighth anniversary of his death.
Mick died of a heart attack after cycling to work for a late shift on 14 April 2014. He was 48.
West Midlands Police Federation secretary Tim Rogers said: “Losing a colleague has a huge impact across the Force, and Mick’s absence continues to be keenly felt to this day by those who knew him and worked with him.
“He was a hugely respected officer, both by his colleagues and by the public, and was dedicated to serving the people and communities of the West Midlands.
“He was also a committed Federation representative and former secretary of our Constables’ Branch Board. Mick was proud to give back and offer support to colleagues.
“The thoughts and sympathies of everyone at the Federation are with Mick’s family, friends and colleagues.”
