Tributes have today been paid to “popular and respected” West Midlands PC Ryan Hunt on the 15th anniversary of his death.
Ryan (31) was working undercover on a major drugs operation in South Yorkshire when he died after being hit by a lorry.
Jon Nott, West Midlands Police Federation chair, worked with Ryan in Handsworth before he moved to undercover work.
Jon said: “Ryan was really popular and respected, both as a police officer and as a person, and he continues to be missed by everyone who knew him.
“He was committed and dedicated to his job, and made a valuable contribution to policing.
“Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues on this difficult day.”
