Remembering PC Malcolm Walker

4 October 2021

West Midlands Police Federation has paid tribute to PC Malcolm (Mac) Walker on the 20th anniversary of his death.

Mac was killed on 4 October 2001 when his motorcycle was deliberately rammed as he tried to stop a stolen car that had driven through a red light.

Police Federation chair Jon Nott said: “Mac paid the highest price in serving his community and seeking to keep people safe. West Midlands Police Federation will always remember his sacrifice and stand with his family, friends and colleagues as they continue to feel his loss.”

On Saturday, Jon and John Williams, deputy chair of the Federation branch, joined Assistant Chief Constable Matt Ward, officers and members of Mac’s family at Sutton Coldfield Police Station for a short memorial service to mark the 20th anniversary of his death. The Force Honour Guard also attended.
