There are still a number of places available on a second pensions evening being staged exclusively for members of West Midlands Police Federation on Thursday (11 November).
The event, which starts at 6pm, follows a successful first pensions evening last month.
Numbers are limited because the session will once again be hosted on Teams which only allows a restricted number to sign in at any one time.
The Federation’s national deputy secretary John Partington will discuss the current timeline in relation to the remedy process being looked at by the Government and the issues raised by the staff associations and others.
There will also be time for a question and answer session.
The first pensions evening on 7 October was attended by around 100 members and aimed to bust some of the myths surrounding pensions.
“The purpose of the event was to make sure people were given accurate information,” says Jon Nott, chair of West Midlands Police Federation, “It was well received but we were aware that many other officers wanted to attend so we decided to stage a second evening and we hope that members will sign up to find out more.
“If you have not registered to attend yet, I would urge you to do so as soon as possible so that you can make the most of this opportunity.”
Please look out for an email and internal messages from your Federation representatives or email westmidlandspf@polfed.org, giving the email address where you would like to link to the meeting to be sent to.
