Join @WeCops discussion on role of Fed reps
29 June 2021
The vital role of the Police Federation workplace representative will go under the spotlight in a Twitter chat on Wednesday night (30 June).
The special hour-long @WeCops discussion, which starts at 9pm, focuses on next month’s elections, the work of Federation reps and how officers can get involved.
It will be hosted by Police Federation national chair John Apter tweeting as @PFEW_Chair and national wellbeing secretary Belinda Goodwin tweeting as @BelindaPfew for the session.
The @WeCops sessions usually follow a three-question format which spark some interesting discussions over the hour.
West Midlands Police Federation chair Jon Nott encouraged members to get involved.
He said: “This is a great opportunity for those on Twitter to ask questions about the role of a rep and also for our current reps to highlight the training they receive and the difference they make.”
Elections for Fed reps are held every three years.
The next election process begins on Thursday (1 July) when nominations open for workplace representatives.
