An online event highlighting the vital work carried out by Police Federation workplace representatives is being held on Monday.
West Midlands branch members are being urged to attend Monday’s virtual Election Café to learn more about the role ahead of July’s elections and hopefully be inspired to stand as a candidate.
The Election Café - an informal online chat with those in the know about the life of a Fed rep - is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which showcases the incredible work reps do.
West Midlands branch chair Jon Nott said: “We would encourage our members to sign up for the Election Café and speak to some workplace reps. The elections are being held next month and this event gives members a great opportunity to find out more about what the role entails.
“It is open to every serving member and we would particularly urge members from under-represented groups to register, attend and find out more. Being a workplace rep can be challenging but it is also incredibly rewarding.”
The Election Café will be open from 2pm until 3pm on Monday 21 June.
