The latest edition of the West Midlands Police Federation magazine is available now and is packed full of news.
‘Federation’ features PC Stuart Ward who is not only the Force’s first ever football hate crime officer, but also the country’s.
There is more criticism of the Independent Office for Police Conduct, an update on how the Force is faring since the introduction of the new conduct regulations a year ago, a piece on the call for more consistent driving standards assessment and a look at the issues being faced by detectives.
There are also Covid-related articles, in particular, the awarding of the Queen’s Police Medal to DCI Jennifer Pearson who played a vital role in preparing the region to cope with the pandemic, as well as the call for jail sentences for those weaponising the virus and demands for officers to be vaccinated in the first phase of the roll-out which is underway.
