Could you be a Fed rep? Find out more at Election Café
27 May 2021
An online event showcasing the incredible work carried out by Police Federation workplace representatives is being held next week.
Members who sign up to attend the third and final Election Café to learn more about the role ahead of the Federation elections, which start in July, can claim a free gift.
The Election Café event is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which highlights the vital work reps do to support and represent colleagues during times of need.
West Midlands Police Federation branch chair Jon Nott said: “Being a Federation rep can be challenging but it is also incredibly rewarding. Talking to other reps you find out what motivated them to take on the role and it’s often because they had been grateful for the support the Federation had given them at a difficult time in their career.
“If you have been considering putting yourself forward to become a Fed rep or if you just want to find out more about what is involved, then sign-up for this event.
“We are particularly keen for officers from under-represented groups to attend. Just as the Force is aiming to be representative of the communities we serve, the Federation wants to ensure that it reflects its membership.”
The Election Café will be open from 6pm until 7.30pm on Tuesday 1 June.
