West Midlands Police Federation chair Jon Nott has thanked a restaurant forced to close down due to the coronavirus for donating meals to police officers and staff.

Nando’s branches in Birmingham and Coventry made the gesture to prevent food going to waste and show support for the police service.

“During the current crisis, it is great to see people pulling together and showing appreciation to policing,” says Jon, “Police officers and staff are on the front-line, trying to maintain an effective policing service during this world-wide crisis.

“Acts of kindness like this can make all the difference so hats off to the Nando’s team for doing their bit to give officers and staff a boost.”
