Season’s greetings from Jon Nott, Chair of WMPF

On behalf of everyone at West Midlands Police Federation, I would like to wish you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year.

Even before the new restrictions were put in place on Saturday, I think we all knew that Christmas 2020 was going to be very different to everyone’s usual festive season.

Our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones this year and also to those who are not going to be able to spend time with their families this Christmas due to the pandemic restrictions.

As ever, we know there will be officers who are working through Christmas and the New Year but hopefully you will also be able to get some down-time too.

Finally, I would like put on record my thanks to all officers, staff and volunteers for their commitment to policing during 2020. It has definitely been a tough year professionally, both for those on the frontline and those who have had to adapt to working from home. In addition, we have all faced the same pressures of the rest of the population in terms of adapting to the impact of the pandemic.
