Time is running out for officers to express their opinion and views in an online consultation on Government plans to create a new Police Covenant, which will enshrine the welfare of officers, police staff and their families into law.
The covenant aims to enhance support for the police and their families, as well as officers’ physical protection, health and wellbeing.
The deadline to complete the online consultation is 11.45pm tomorrow (22 April) and West Midlands Police Federation chair Jon Nott is urging members to take part.
“Finding the time to take part in this is very important,” says Jon, “This covenant could make a huge difference in making sure that all of our officers get the protection, recognition and support they deserve for carrying out such dangerous and challenging roles in our communities.
“The consultation survey is very user-friendly and I ask everyone to have their say in how our future is shaped.”
Take part in the consultation.
