The latest edition of our magazine is out now and it’s full of news and views from your Federation.

Read the remarkable story of the Federation rep who gave the “gift of life” by donating one of her kidneys to her colleague’s husband.

Two members open up about their struggles with Functional Neurological Disorder, while retired cop Simon Jones talks about how he sought help for his mental health in the hope it will help others find the support they need.

There’s a feature on the team of officers who are taking part in the New York Half Marathon to raise awareness of neuroblastoma.

And we also feature the officers who took part in the Police Unity Tour as well as a report on the annual Care of Police Survivors (COPS) Service of Remembrance.

The magazine includes a farewell to the Federation’s health and safety lead Deano Walker and we hear how one member has played a pivotal role in stopping the sale of knives at a local shop.

There’s a focus on the groundbreaking scheme designed to tackle gang-related violence, the Federation’s response to the recent IOPC Stakeholder Report, and a warning about the rising threat of assaults on members.

We hear from workplace rep Gemma Griffith on her work on the role and from the branch’s deputy chair Jase Dooley on how the Federation showed its support for officers who had their rest days cancelled to police a large number of football matches at the start of the season.

The stories and much more are all featured in the latest edition of Federation, which is available to read online now.
