Deputy chair in the spotlight as he praises colleagues for 'amazing' work at Legia Warsaw disorder

West Midlands Police Federation deputy chair Jase Dooley has praised the “simply amazing” work of colleagues investigating the serious disorder at Villa Park.

Jase conducted a series of media interviews to discuss the violence faced by members at the European fixture between Aston Villa and Legia Warsaw.

He was interviewed by BBC and ITV television, and on BBC radio to talk about the trouble outside the stadium.

His comments were also featured in national and regional newspapers including the Express and Star, the Mail Online, and BBC Online.

And he took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to say the Federation was proud of the work of officers after a total of 46 people were charged following the game.

“The work my colleagues have done within 24 hours is simply amazing,” he said. “They have worked extremely hard, working long hours away from their families.

“Especially to the DI and DSs who have had to juggle normal business. Well done to everyone of you.”
