Inspector Ceri Hawe has been selected to join the Police Federation’s National Council as a representative of Region 7 (Wales).
She is a North Wales officer of 27 years’ service, who has served all over the Force area in numerous roles and is currently part of the Workforce Representation Team working to make it more representative of region’s communities.
Ceri will take the regional safeguarded seat, taking over from Ceris Davies of Dyfed Powys.
Nicky Ryan, Welsh lead for the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), said: “I would like to congratulate Ceri on her new role – I’m sure that her immense experience of policing and Welsh issues will be a huge asset to the National Council, and I also look forward to working with her on the PFEW Welsh Affairs Sub-Committee.
“I would also like to thank Ceris for all of her hard work and dedication to the role, and to wish her every success for the future.”
The National Council is comprised of the chairs and secretaries of the 43 Police Federation branches, as well as representatives with protected characteristics (the safeguarded seats). Its role is to hold the PFEW National Board to account for how it runs and leads the Federation.
