International Women's Day: Thank You To Our Amazing Female Officers

Surrey Police Federation is celebrating International Women’s Day today by highlighting the work that female officers do to keep the public safe.

The Federation’s team at Leatherhead is 75% female, with Mel Warnes as Chair, Danielle Mead as Treasurer and Elena Boafo as Equality Lead.

Elena said: “We are celebrating International Women’s Day by thanking our officers who work hard to keep the Surrey community safe and acknowledging the work of the first female Chair of the Surrey Police Federation, Mel Warnes.

“As Equality Lead, I will be listening to the needs of my colleagues, working alongside them and Surrey Police to support them in diversity and equality issues, such as the job-related fitness test, adjusted duties and family matters etc

“Today, I will be attending the Surrey PCC’s Women’s Network Conference facilitated by Surrey Police Women’s Network.”
