Mel Warnes, Chair of Surrey Police Federation, looks ahead to the so-called "Super Saturday" and the policing challenges it brings.
Mel said: “The message is a plea to the public to take some personal responsibility this weekend as restrictions ease.
“It is good that the country is trying to get the economy going again but irresponsible behaviour and violence caused by drunkenness will cause increased pressure on policing.
“Please be sensible, there are still some restrictions in place and be mindful of the pressure for all the emergency services and the NHS that mindless behaviour has on them.
“This is a reminder to all that the virus has not gone away and for my members to best protect themselves and others when dealing with members of the public.”
