The 2018 Police Federation Conference is just over a month away.

Taking place at the Birmingham International Convention Centre (ICC) over 22-23rd May, this year’s event will cover all the top topics affecting policing in 2018, under the banner of ‘Protecting The Protectors’.

First day seminars and presentations include sessions on the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), assaults and emergency response driving, officer welfare and breakout groups covering fatigue in the workplace, stop and search and women in policing.

The Women in Policing Award will also be presented by Halifax MP Holly Lynch before Louise Haigh, Shadow Minister for Policing, joins Federation Chair Calum Macleod in a closing Q&A session.

Day two will tackle pay and conditions, the crisis in detective policing, counter terrorism and developing career pathways in between a key note speech from the Chair – so get the date in your diaries.
