Lancashire Police Federation are funding PSA testing and there are a small number of appointments still available. A raised PSA level can be a sign of a problem with your prostate.
Criteria for eligibility is that you are either a Federation / Group Insurance subscribing member and over 40 years of age. The test funded by the Federation is by appointment only. Phone the Federation office to receive your registration details.
Once on the site please do not choose home testing kit option or you will be charged for this service.
The PSA test involves taking a small sample of blood to test from you. Results can be emailed back to you.
Prostate cancer can develop when cells in the prostate start to grow in an uncontrolled way. 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Most men with prostate cancer don’t have any symptoms. You may be more at risk if you are over 50 years, if your father or brother has had it, if you are black or if you are overweight
