Anniversary of loss of Gwent PC

Gwent PC Steven Jenkins died on this day eight years ago.

Steven became ill while on duty and died at Pillgwenily Police Station on 6 October 2017. He was 43.

Matthew Candy, chair of Gwent Police Federation, said: “Today we remember Steven and the service he gave to the Force and the communities we serve.

“His sudden death shocked the whole Force and so many people still feel his loss, but particularly his family and friends who we keep in our thoughts today as they mark this sad anniversary.”
