I have proudly served as a police officer in Gwent for the past 17 years, and for the last three years, I have had the privilege of representing my colleagues as a Police Federation representative. I joined the Federation because I am deeply passionate about supporting police officers, ensuring their voices are heard, and advocating for fairness, integrity, and prioritising officer wellbeing in all that we do.
I am fully committed to upholding the highest standards of honesty and accountability. My goal is to ensure all officers are represented fairly, transparently, and without bias, strengthening trust and confidence in the Federation. I firmly believe in equitable treatment for all, addressing concerns, challenges, and achievements with respect and impartiality. Policing is an incredibly demanding role, and it is essential that officers feel their voices are genuinely listened to and their concerns acted upon with care and understanding.
For those officers who have been victims of violence, harassment, or injustice, I will work tirelessly to ensure their experiences are acknowledged and their voices amplified. Police officers often face extraordinary risks, and when they become victims themselves, they deserve the same care, compassion, and advocacy we extend to the public. I am committed to pushing for stronger practical and emotional support systems so that no officer feels isolated or unheard.
Over the last three years as a Federation representative, I have been proud to advocate on behalf of my colleagues. However, there is still so much more I wish to achieve. Giving officers a voice and ensuring they are treated with respect, fairness, and integrity will remain at the heart of everything I do.
