Gwent Police Federation chair Matthew Candy says evidence gathered in the national Federaton’s annual pay and morale survey will play a vital part in its campaign for fairer pay.
Now Matthew is urging members to complete the survey, which runs until 3 October.
This year it’s been combined with the demand, capacity and welfare survey to provide a comprehensive picture of the realities of policing.
The survey aims to capture members’ views and experiences on pay, morale and wellbeing, and to support the Federation’s ongoing campaigns to improve pay and conditions.
Matthew said: “We know our members are facing huge pressures at work with the demands being placed on them, and in private with the cost of living crisis.
“The findings of this survey will help us see just what pressures members are facing, and we’ll use the data in our campaigns for better pay and conditions.
“A big thank you to our members who have completed the survey. If you haven’t, please do make the time as your opinion is really important to us.”
