Federation Launches Its First Ever Recognition Awards

Celebrating our Incredible Colleagues... coming in 2026, the first ever Gloucestershire Police Federation Recognition Awards!

A new Autumn Awards Ceremony is being launched to recognise and celebrate Police Officers who have gone above and beyond in their difficult roles.

The inaugural Gloucestershire Police Federation Recognition Awards, in association with lead sponsor Bluline Health, will take place later this year with award presentations recognising colleagues, following a gala dinner.

Outstanding Neighbourhood and Response Officers, Super Supervisors, an Inspirational Investigator, Rep of the Year, Team of the Year and Lifetime Achievement will all be highlighted.

Gloucestershire Police Federation Chair Adam Williams said: “All at the Federation are delighted to be launching our first ever Awards... we can't wait for what will be an amazing evening.

"Our colleagues are out there every day carrying out an incredibly difficult job... often going that extra mile to prevent and detect crime, catch criminals and care for their colleagues.

"This hard work is often carried out with sadly little recognition... so these new Awards are a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the best of the best, and remind everyone what an outstanding job our officers are doing in challenging circumstances."

The nomination window for the Awards will open on Monday February 2 and close on Friday May 1 and Gloucestershire Police Colleagues will be asked to get their thinking police hats on and put forward worthy officers for recognition.

Ian White, Secretary of Gloucestershire Police Federation, added: "We are really proud of the work our colleagues carry out and really proud to be launching this prestigious event celebrating what that they do.

"Policing is a job like no other. And it's only right and fitting that those unsung heroes - your police officers - are rightly recognised.

"We look forward to this new night becoming a firm fixture in the policing calendar.”
