7 March 2023
Female Police Federation Representatives are encouraged to participate to the first 'Female Leadership within the Federation' event, held on International Women's Day on Wednesday 8th March 2023 via Microsoft Teams.
This year’s theme is to #EmbraceEquity, and what better way to celebrate the day than to bring as many of us together to share our successes.
Currently Female Reps make up under 25% of Federation reps across the country, so we feel it is equally important to highlight the work that is still required.
Tiff Lynch will be sharing her journey in becoming the national deputy chair of PFEW, while Gemma Fox, our deputy secretary, will also be sharing her story and the challenges she faced with being the first female National Board member to have a baby and take maternity leave.
More importantly, we want to hear from you and understand any challenges you may have faced, ensuring we are actively supporting our female Federation reps and, therefore, would encourage as many of you as possible to dial into this event.
Everyone is truly welcome, including any male colleagues who wish to attend.
If you wish to join this event, please contact Insp Hayley Howes (hayley.howes@polfed.org)
