Essex Police Federation Bravery Awards set to recognise forces courageous officers

THE first-ever Essex Police Federation Bravery Awards will give courageous officers in the force the ‘right recognition’.

The new Awards will take place in April 2020 and officers named as overall winners will go on to the National Police Bravery Awards in London in July 2020.

Lead sponsors for the event are Uniform Mortgages.

Federation Chairman Steve Taylor said he was looking forward to giving all nominees and winners the platform their brave acts in the line of duty deserve.

“It’s a fantastic event, and we’re looking forward to it,” he said.

“It’s well-supported by the force, and we hope to give bravery the platform it deserves locally and encourage the correct recognition for those brave events that go on, on a daily basis, in Essex, to be seen in the light that they deserve to be seen in.

“So, we’re excited about the Awards and are looking forward to their inauguration in April.”
