Durham Police Federation is working in partnership with the National Police Healthcare Scheme to offer affordable private healthcare to officers, staff and their families.
The scheme was created by Police Officers in 1989 and remains overseen by eight Trustees, all serving officers, who ensure the scheme is delivered on a not-for-profit basis.
Police Officers (of all ranks), Police staff and their spouses/partners and children can join the scheme.
- On application, serving officers and staff receive three months’ FREE membership (all membership categories, including ‘Full Family’ membership).
- On application, Student Officers receive 12 months’ FREE individual membership from the date of joining the Force.
- FREE membership of the Police Treatment Centres is included for all members who are serving officers / staff.
- PLUS all members have exclusive access to the scheme’s luxury holiday homes.
- No medical declarations or assessments are required to join.
- Deductions are made from salary.
