More Dorset Police officers now have supplies of iced coffee to help them through long night shifts, in a Dorset Police Federation backed initiative that has raised thousands for charity.
Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, which was co-founded by former Dorset Police officer Suzie Owen, has provided free drinks to Bournemouth police station every month since 2019.
Officers are asked to make a voluntary contribution, which has raised over £2,000 for Care of Police Survivors (COPS).
Federation Rep Chief Inspector Bryan Duffy has supported the initiative from the outset, and Dorset Police Federation has now paid for new fridges at Poole and Weymouth police stations, fully stocked with the iced coffee.
Suzie said: “It’s such a pleasure to support Dorset Police and the Federation with our refreshing iced coffee”.
Chair of Dorset Police Federation James Dimmack said: “This goodwill gesture not only generates valuable income for an extremely worthy charity, but it also provides a huge boost to morale and some much-needed caffeine on those long night shifts! I pass our ongoing thanks to Jimmy’s for their continued support.”
