James Dimmack has been returned as Chair of Dorset Police Federation.
James said: “I am delighted and honoured to be returned as the Chair of Dorset Police Federation. I am very much looking forward to getting to work with what is very much a new look team.
“I believe we have a massive opportunity to build on the fantastic work undertaken by our predecessors during unprecedented times. Hopefully with world returning to a semblance of normality.
“We will be able to implement plans for future progression of Dorset Police Federation and how we help our members. I am keen to make a tangible difference.
“I am determined to promote wellbeing of officers. In that I am committed to achieving tangible progress rather that simple pledges.
“This is already taking place with new initiatives already in the pipeline. Predominantly I am intent on building strong collaborative relationships in order that the voice of the membership can be heard.
“This is both within Dorset through the senior leadership team and relevant departments. This is also on a national level through local Members of Parliament and of course the national Federation. Reassuringly whilst we are policing in difficult times, the foundations of Dorset from both a Federation and force perspective are strong.
“My intent is to build, collaboratively on these foundations to evolve Dorset to realise its full potential.”
