Dorset Police Federation dishing out sweet treats for hardworking members

Dorset Police Federation has been dishing out sweet treats to hard working colleagues across the force area as a small recognition of their work over recent months.

Chair Anna Harvey said handing out hundreds of chocolate brownies over the past few weeks was a way of providing colleagues a little boost as they go about their work keeping the public safe.

She said the Federation were “really mindful of the year officers have had and how busy the summer is going to be, especially in Dorset, so we want to show some support.”

“It’s a little something to give back to the members really to say, ‘Look, we are thinking about you. If you need to contact us, please do’,” said Anna.

“It was just a reminder to colleagues that we are here for them because obviously it’s been quite difficult not being out visiting the stations as much as we would normally do due to the pandemic.

“The first weekend we looked at the west of the county and then this past weekend we visited the east of the county, just to try and get to see as many colleagues as possible and to dish out the all-important brownies.

“In total we got a company to cook up 600 brownies and we have dished out a lot of calories!”

Anna passed on her thanks to all the Federation Reps who have given up their time to dish out the tasty treats and advised members to keep an eye out for more giveaways from their Federation as the Summer progresses.
