Dorset Police officers set to get free charging powerbanks from the Federation

It will be a highly charged Festive season for Dorset Police officers - as the Police Federation distributes charging powerbanks for all of our members.

Dorset Police Federation Secretary, Ian Roe said "As a Federation Branch we are always trying to find ways to support our members.

"Fortunately the majority don’t need our support but understand we are there should they need us and our aim is always to provide the best possible service when they do need us.

"Dorset Police Federation wanted to find a way to give something tangible back to our members. The idea of a mobile device charging powerbank came about as we know that our officers are working longer and busier shifts. We are all reliant on our mobile devices so we thought the ability to charge a phone or tablet when on patrol or extended enquiries would be something of real practical benefit to our officers.

"Every one of our members will be receiving one of these powerbanks which are embossed with our contact details."

Keep an eye out at stations as we distribute them over coming days and weeks.
