Pre-Retirement

Just as we support officers at the beginning of their policing careers,  Police Federation is also there for those who are nearing the end of their policing journey. Planning for retirement is a significant milestone for police officers and one that needs careful consideration. 

We are dedicated to assisting members through this transition.

As part of our pre-retirement guidance, we offer one-day pre-retirement courses designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the options available to officers who are planning their retirement. The course is held several times a year for members who are within 18 months of retirement. 

During these seminars, topics include financial and estate planning, recruitment and CV preparation and mortgage or property issues. We are also happy to provide personalised advice to retiring officers to ensure they receive tailored support.
