Cumbria Police Federation Awards Returns

Celebrating our Incredible Colleagues... returning in 2026 is the Cumbria Police Federation Recognition Awards!

The event will take place in June, with award presentations recognising incredible colleagues, following a gala dinner.

Acts of Bravery, Compassion, Incredible Detective work and Amazing Response officers will be highlighted.

We are looking for your nominations now for

- Response Officer of the Year 

- Neighbourhood Officer of the Year 

- Operational Support (firearms/traffic/tactical support)

- Compassion Award

- Women in Policing

- Federation Rep of the Year

Posters will be going out highlighting this in stations.

Please do let us know who you think is deserving of these Awards in our force - and provide us with a short citation as to why (no more than 250 words).

The nomination window for the Awards opens today and closes at the end of March. 

Cumbria Police Federation Chair Ed Russell said: "We are delighted to be returning with the Recognition Awards once again this year. The event was a resounding success in 2025 and we look forward to this June. 

"We encourage colleagues to nominate their peers. Let us know about all the great police officers out there in Cumbria and what they are doing and we will highlight and celebrate their work."
