Chair of Cumbria Police Federation has released its Annual Report touching on significant events of the past 12 months.
Paul Williams, who in his first year as Chair, reflects in the report on an "incredibly busy" time for the Federation and some key challenges. These including improving data security following a major cyber attack and responding to the tragic deaths of two colleagues in the course of their duties.
Mr Williams said: "I would like to extend my gratitude for the hard work of all our Reps over the past 12 months, who balance vital Federation work with their day-to-day roles. The support they have provided in such busy times has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated."
Turning to 2020, he added: "Pensions is always a big topic and there is still a lot of work to be done, but we at Cumbria
Police Federation have a close eye on the matter and will keep all our members updated. There is also going to be an
uplift in officer numbers, which provides logistical issues. But this not a bad problem to have, and we can only take this as a positive step."
